Assagay Estate
The Brief
Our client required a scalable energy solution that could be expanded over time to meet growing demand. Through a carefully planned phased approach, the system has evolved into a fully off-grid installation, delivering complete energy independence.
Phase 1 involved integrating the client’s existing solar panels from a previous installation, while adding 22.2kWp of JA Solar modules. The existing inverter and battery system were replaced with a 30kW / 48kWh Sigenergy solution, incorporating seamless generator integration to ensure uninterrupted power availability.
Phase 2 focused on increasing system capacity through the addition of a 12kW Sigenergy inverter, a 24kWh battery expansion, and a further 22.1kWp of Aiko solar modules, significantly enhancing the site’s energy generation and storage capabilities.
Phase 3 marked the final step in the client’s journey to complete energy independence, with an additional 18kWh battery upgrade providing the storage capacity required to operate fully off-grid.
Today, the system stands as a testament to the value of strategic planning and scalable solar design, enabling the client to achieve long-term energy security with a solution tailored to their evolving needs.
